I have always been in love with nature. As a little girl, I would make potions and brews out of plants and flowers I'd find in my garden. I would spend hours outside, gathering rocks and making shelters for insects. I swam in streams and oceans and watched fires under the moon. Nature has always been my friend, my ally, my guide and one of my great loves.

When I fell pregnant with my first child, I relished in nature. I spent hours outside gardening and enjoying the flowers and plants blooming  all around me. I gathered many beautiful relics from the parks near my house. I have always loved to create and to be busy. I knew I would struggle with what can be a lonely experience as a new mother. I needed an outlet to be me. Thus began The Growing Moon. I began to create little creations, using flowers and plants as paint and in this process created something unique. There are other businesses that use florals in their products but I try to keep The Growing Moon unique by harvesting all flora on my own. I do not sand my jewelry and instead prefer to keep the texture and natural state of the flowers hardening in the resin.

This collection and this experience has been cathartic and comforting to me, and I am so grateful for your support and enthusiasm at my wearable art. This is my ode to nature, a thankful gift for all it has given me.
